Merry Group Donate 5,000 Hearing-Protection Headphones, Empowering Safe Digital Learning for Pingtung Students

Global electroacoustic leader Merry Electronics (2439.TW) and its affiliate New-care today partnered with the Pingtung County Government to donate 5,000 hearing-protection headphones. The initiative supports the Ministry of Education’s digital learning program by providing safe technology for students in Pingtung.
Equipped with smart volume control that caps sound at safe decibel levels, the headphones mitigate potential hearing risks from prolonged use during online classes and language studies. Pingtung County expressed gratitude, noting that the contribution safeguards student health as digital learning becomes a daily norm, especially for rural and Indigenous youth.
With WHO estimating that 1.1 billion young people face avoidable hearing loss, Merry continues its public advocacy against subtle hearing impairment. Merry President Allen Huang stated, "This donation goes beyond giving equipment—it anchors long-term hearing protection education, ensuring our children learn safely in the AI and digital era."
This philanthropic initiative also reflects Merry’s strategic transition from acoustics to smart healthcare.
