"Happiness Good Deeds Collective"-Connecting the Value Chain to Co-create ESG Sustainable Value
MERRY has sponsored the “Taiwan Well-being March” for nearly 20 years, during which the program has interviewed numerous high-quality Taiwanese businesses. In 2023, Merry Electronics first launched the "Happiness Good Deeds Collective" initiative, encouraging employees to support local products, which received an enthusiastic response. In 2024, MERRY not only organized physical markets but also proactively selected vendors that align with the spirit of "environmental sustainability" or "diversity and inclusion" (partner vendors are listed below). They actively promoted these vendors' products through online shopping and physical market activities. Concurrently, a portion of the sales revenue was allocated to a tree-planting fund, collectively fostering ESG value.
A total of eight value chain partners enthusiastically participated in this event, with total sales amounting to 345,387 NTD. Additionally, MERRY encouraged its value chain partners to collectively uphold their sustainability responsibilities. Purchases exceeding a specified amount granted participation in the plan to plant native Taiwanese Makao trees in the Xindian mountainous area. A total of eight suppliers responded to this initiative and will collectively plant 100 Makao trees in 2025, committing to their three-year maintenance. This demonstrates the implementation of sustainable development principles through tangible actions.
